I was having problems with this also everytime I moved the converted samples to an external drive. So.. I created an AKAI samples folder on my external firewire drive where I keep my samples. I gathered up all the previously converted akai samples and put them in this folder and created an alias and put it in the logic folder.This seems to have sped the search times up. Danny
