EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Wouldn't doing a save as from the first song, giving it a new name then 
just deleting any recorded sequences do the trick? You could even use 
the subsequent file as a template. I have a folder that I call templates 
that I put templates per client or kind of session (such as rap, rock, 
orchestral....) it just gives me a quick jumping off point where things 
are where I can find them quickly. Hope this helps.

Actually, what I was trying to describe is a bit different- when I open
one song, I close another, but with both using the same exs instruments,
is there a way I don't have to reload all the instruments again...a way
to, in a sense, keep exs open to the same patches while opening a new
logic song?  Anybody else doing this?  Thanks.

To be more specific, when two songs are open with a lot of DSP pumping
in
each song, the screen draw can really slow down. At least, I've seen
this
happen on a G4-400 Mac. It adds a lot of load to the CPU. You may have
to
put up with the close & open process if your experiencing performance
problems with both songs open. You can open your system performance
monitor
to see how much load is on the CPU once you load one and then the other
song. I imagine the meter will jump up a bit as a result. You could try
allocating more RAM to Logic if your on a Mac. -Jer
