EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi all,

  I'm having some problems with a CD doing some conversions. I was just
lucky enough to win a copy of the Akai/Perfectionear Drums & Ambience Vol
1&2 CDs in a compo in SOS (hey wow! Never won a decent prize in a
competition before!) And eagerly popped it into Logic to covert. However
quite a lot of the sample files have digital artifacts in the sound
(repetetive blips, wrong start/end points), and also a *lot* volumes appear
to be missing all their programs. This is all not good :-( I tried
downloading the CDXtract demo on a PC to see if it would prove the CD was
OK, but it only reads the first partition but thats the only partition thats
ok. *Grr* ! Has anyone else tried this cd, or had similar occurances?

My specs ;
 B&W G3-400 using the stock Apple IDE DVD drive for conversion.
 MacOS 9.2.1
 Logic Audio Gold 4.8.1
 EXS24 v1 - but IIRC this is updated with logic to the latest version.

This is well annoying!
