Ack, getting knickers in a twist replying too hastily. To clarify ;
1) EXS _only_ likes converting akai format samples from CD. It _wont_
convert from floppies or other media.
2) If your archive has wav/aif and a definition it is NOT a proper akai
sample. Its probably aimed at being a downloadable archive to be converted
to akai floppy format. To do this you need to use AkaiDisk or Teledisk,
depending on which format the archive you downloaded is. For further info
check :
Teledisk : http://ftpsearch.lycos.com/cgi-bin/search?query=teledisk.zip
Akaidisk : http://www.abel.co.uk/~maxim/akai/index.htm
Akaidisk FAQ : http://www.abel.co.uk/~maxim/akai/akaifaqs.htm
None of this helps you if your archive is to create a floppy as EXS wont
read it

Solution :
Best plan is to use the wav/aif files directly and create the EXS24
instruments yourself. Unless you have masses to do, creating instruments is
easy, and doesn't take much time.

Hope that maes a bit more sense ;-)

~Pev

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
