You have either Logic Pro or Logic Express - they were 2 different apps. >to my actual question: >i am very much depending on using the exs24 or is it called exs24 MKII now? >so now my question is where i can get it from because everything looks like >i need to buy logic studio 8? >or just logic 8 and then i still don't have exs24 > >or is it possible to just buy logic studio instruments 8 and they are >backwards compatible? > >or is there any where at all i can find the exs on its own?? Apple only sells Logic Studio now which includes Logic Pro 8 plus everything else. If you have Logic 7, you can can buy an upgrade which is obviously much cheaper for you. You'll get EXS24 plus a huge library of instruments and much more. If you can afford it, you should definitely upgrade to Logic Studio ( including Logic Pro 8). It is huge value for money. http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/ EXS24 is not available on its own. Long long long ago (around v3 or v4 or v5) it was a separate purchase - not any more. Regards - Colin
