Hi Ash,

Strange that some files in a folder do work and some don't. Have you 
ever tried to enable <Ignore ownership on this volume> ? (Maybe 
individual files are locked or have slightly different permissions)

Another suggestion: are the EXS instrument files on the iMac resolved properly?

Simple ideas, no offence intended.....  :-)
