I do not recommend use of the EXS for this kind of the thing. Only premium
setups have a low enough latency on MIDI input. Most users do experience
latency on input (output of course is sample-accurate). Sounds like a live
application. Stick with hardware if this is a serious part of your live
show. If you're only concerned about performance on playback, I'm sure you
can do something along these lines in Logic (don't think velocity-controlled
crossfades between patches will happen though). It's the mention of the
words "foot pedal" that raised an alarm in my head. This software is not
intended for that kind of application. -Jer
