Hi Bob, I'm looking for drum-sets incuding <rimshots/clickshots/different cymbal and hi-hat-attacks/sticks/mallets/brushes> and variations like these on as well snare and toms. The usual sets are very basic without a great deal of soundvariations like I mentioned. I'm not sure if the Wizoo-sets included these sound? Anyone has experience with this one? I have to admit that, while many people like the Wizoo sets, I wasn't all that impressed with them. My favorite drum samples come from Burning Grooves (Ilio) and Peter Erskine (Sampleheads). There are other good ones around too but I like these particular sets. There are brushes on the Burning Grooves and one CD is dedicated to looped grooves. The Peter Erskine is probably more useful to you. There are many kits on BG that have been sampled with reverb. While they sound good, I prefer to have samples that are dry or at most have room ambience in them. Sometimes adding the right amount of reverb to the room ambience really sounds nice and alive. The demo from Pure Drums (Yellow Tools) sounds excellent but I have not heard this samples on their own yet so I can't vouch for them. There are other sets of notable mention too but I thought that I would mention a couple of the ones I like. There are some people who like the New York City Drumworks CD's. Personally, I don't care for them. Keep in mind that these are personal choice and entirely up to your taste. What I like may not be exactly what you like. I would recommend trying them out for yourself at your dealer or at the very least, listen to the online demos. HTH, Fernando [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
