This actually explains a lot about how Maestro Tools works in general. I was worried about the fact that when legato mode is active, everything Logic receives becomes mono. Now it's clear that Maestro Tools affects what is recorded and can be turned off for playback. How I could have missed the extra samples recorded in the sequence is fairly embarrassing, but unfortunately not the first time I've missed something as obvious. Thanks again.
