4 pdf's added to file section

2001-06-24 by mike B

Hi all
Just uploaded 4 pdf's to the file section at Emlsynth yahoo group.
In the newly named Literature and Schemos folder you'll find:

1Synth.pdf-a pamphlet comparing the EML 101 to the equivalent models
from Arp and Moog.

ad.pdf- the inside cover of what was proabably an EML catalog ( I don't
have the rest of it).

polymanual.pdf- the polybox owner's manual ( black and white photocopy,
as many of their manuals were)

primer.pdf- another EML pamphlet covering some analog synth basics.

regards,
Mike B

Regarding 1Synth.pdf it's interesting that EML decided not to
compare themselves with the 2600. Or that the Sonic Six would
be a prime contender for one's synth dollar.

Well I don't know the Sonic 6 but it seems to me they were making a fair
comparison of apples to apples with the Oddy in about the same price range
as the 101. The 2600 sold for about a grand more. A bit unfair to the 101
to expect it to measure up to soemthing that expensive.
BTW: If you look at the page in the booklet where they compare prices you
notice that the printed price for the 101 is crossed out and handwritten in
below...I have no idea who did this but $1495 was correct as far as I
know...
