eml synthesizers

2 EML 200's and a 101 currently up for auction. They look to be in
great shape...expectant bid pricing a bit steep.

Also there's another set of the little "Electronic Music Lab" modules
including a sequencer. There is some question as to whether these
pieces are from the same EML/Electrocomp company of Vernon CT that we
know from gear like the 101.

Anyone here know more about them?

I was checking out a friend's EML 200. I noticed that the ring mod sounded
terrible with either of the two saw oscillitors, but sounded fine with any
of the three waveforms from the "Master Oscillator".

Does anyone know why?? Is it there difference between the two types of
oscillators on the 200 or is this something peculiar to the 200 ring mod??
