101 calibration, tuning

101 calibration, tuning

2002-04-30 by Luther Rochester

hello
my 101 is in dire need of calibration. i ordered the instructions from mr. glinsky a few weeks ago, but he's had some hard times and can't get them to me quickly enough. does anyone have something they can email or fax me?
my fax # is 773.271.5012

also, i've taken the machine apart and cleaned everything (there really wasn't anything to clean in the synth half), paying special attention to the keyboard triggers. sometimes i get a 'dip' in the pitch of a note, which seems unrelated to the key triggering. is this a common thing with the 101? i know on an EMS machine i wouldn't think twice about it, but i've heard these oscillators are supposed to be pretty solid.
thanks,
luther

requests for schematics, manuals, etc.

2002-04-30 by Mike B (digiboy)

There've been several requests over the last few weeks for copies of EML
400 and 101 schematics, manuals, calibration guides, etc. Ideally I'd like
to get it all archived at the group home page so it's available to anyone
who needs it.

I do have hard copy of some of this stuff but my time and resources are
limited. I'm going to do the best i can to scan and post what I have .
There are a lot of pages and it will take me quite a while. I don't own a
scanner and my only access to one is at my job. If other members here
have any of this material, please pitch in and post whatever you can for
everyone's benefit. I'd appreciate any help to lighten the load and I
will try to cover what remains.. . You can post pdf's or text to the files
section. Images go to the photos section. If you have any questions about
how to do this or need any help, feel free to contact me on or off list.

Thanks

Mike Berman
