Eml synthesizers

Hi folks!

Can anyone enlighten me on the Syn-key a bit? 

- I keep hearing that only about 30 were made but I sort of don't believe that. I've seen a handful come up for sale over the years and the idea that so few ever made it out of the factory seems unlikely. Could it have been several hundred perhaps?

- Anyone know if it's HZ / V / Oct as well? I'm guessing that it is.

- VSE says it has CV Gate built in. It seems that this is not the case. An acquaintance of mine has one and he had to have a mod done to have this feature. Perhaps it depends on when the Syn-key was made.

- Anyone make their own punch cards? Is there any point?

- Anyone know how serviceable it is? I haven't found schematics so my guess is that documentation is very rare indeed.
