Sorry guys, I lied. The 3026 is actually a DIP package with 6 NPN transistors inside. Two of the transistors are precisely matched. EML used it in their systems for the modulator/ amplitude shaper circuit on the 101 They use the matched pair for the differential input circuit and string the other 4 into a constant current source to specifically heat the chip in order for it to work in a constant-temperature environment for stability purposes.
