Dan that is an old macintosh hard drive intended to sit under the computer. It's 100 meg scci I think i got that off Ebay for like $15 or $20. It originally worked with my prior Emax II without trouble but for this current Emax II im having trouble using it. It kept on not reconizing the drive and I had to keep switching the SCCI number to get it to read. Now I can't get it to find that drive at all, no matter what I switch the number to. I want to try an internal drive again like the maxtor 540s. The parts dealers seem to have found out that people want these drives for specific reasons and are asking alot of money for them now though. I checked into the connor drive listed and so far ive found it offered for $100 I have copied a snid bit from one of the group owners webpages listing compatible hard drives if youre interested in looking at it it's in this folder http://www.ferrari-dvd.com/EmaxII/

Thanks very much Matt. Now I need to replace my floppy drive and find a system disk to get my emax II up and running. If you have access to a system floppy, let me know. Dan --- On Wed, 6/16/10, Matt Ferrari <ferrari808@...> wrote:

Dan I got mine from http://www.route66studios.com/ I bought mine from them and got the screws from the hardware store to mount it. Mine were missing because the previous owner didnt replace them when he took the dead drive out. Took me a couple of tries to get the cable put on both connecters in the right position but it does indeed work and im happy with it. there is a user here that provides system disks i believe here for a small fee to cover shipping? i dont have them bookmarked though emulator archive i think? can another reader here provide that info? any sound disk is a system disk right? if its just any sound disk and you cant get one i'll help you out message me off list when you get the drive replaced if thats the case matt@...
