Emulator II Sound bank Wanted

Re: Emulator II Sound bank Wanted

Hi Paul:

If you're looking for Emulator II sounds in Emax II format, I believe these were repackaged (at least in part) as the "Universe Of Sounds" library volumes one through four. The CD-Roms were manufactured by Reflective Arts International/Optical Media International. Douglas Morton, a former E-mu and OMI employee, still sells them via his Web site: Q Up Arts. If you call Doug at the number listed on that site, he can tell you more about the libraries.

As far as Emulator II sounds in other formats, I can't help you...

Best,
DBM

This seems to have gone un-answered from January(?) and also periodically before that -- could someone leave some authoritative answer on the forum, or point to a good location? I'd love to get a copy of them too! I don't know if Yahoo supports any phpbb-esque "sticky" topics, but that sounds like an FAQ to my untrained noob ears. :)

On a related note, and as a recent emax convert myself, I'd also love to know where to flesh out the original Emax set, as well. The Emulator Archive has a link touting "Sadly this entire 160+ diskette library is no longer available from E-mu Systems, BUT you can download them from our database for free !!" -- however, that link appears quite dead.

Apologies if this was addressed already, I didn't see anything obvious in the last couple years of backposts, or in the files area.

Happy sampling! I hope you are all enjoying the classic E-mu stuff as much as I am. :)

www.route66studios.com has the original Emax lib on CD available, these go in the Emax ll but can also be used with EMXP and saved to floppy.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
