EMAX II ... SCSI fuse?

EMAX II ... SCSI fuse?

2009-05-24 by evy_newt

I have had to replace SCSI fuses on AKAI products before... it's actually a common problem with them. Troubleshooting my SCSI problem I decided to see if flipping the cable upside down would help. I may have blown the protection fuse in the process. Does anyone have information on the SCSI system inside the EMAX? I haven't looked inside the sampler yet, but I have searched old messages with no results. I used to be able to detect a ZIP drive through the external port and recently have trouble doing so. Are the internal and external SCSI connections on the same controller / fuse? Any insight into this system to help me understand it would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Everett

You have schematics? I would like to have a copy of them if you don't mind sending them.

I hope I didn't fry something in the SCSI controller. That would be really unfortunate...

there a3 in size and there for different sections analog digital logic control lcd and switch interface the scsi intrface the floppy controller

the place i got them from no longer exists it was an emu repair stockist in the uk but since have stopped support for the old samplers they only fix emulator 4 series and emulatorx

i had one of the last copies

if you want a copy you will have to ask for permission from emu if we are allowed to put it on the list but dont hold your hopes up

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
