Ok... I got my Emax II a few months ago. It has 4MB of ram and not hard drive. I got a smart flash card from scsi for samplers. It came in a scsi box. Well, I wanted to bring all the sounds from my computer to the Emax II originally. I have a mac book pro, I am a mac person. I have Windows XP runing in my Mac Book Pro. So, I got a smart flash usb reader and the EMXP software on the XP. First the Emax didn't want to recognize the scsi adapter of the smart flash. I change some jumpers and flipped the scsi cable connected to the board and it was recognized!!!! (all that took 2 days). Then, the EMXP didn't want to recognise the usb adapter. So after doing my reserach I saw I was able to change the unit number. Usually the EMXP will look for an H or E device, well I managed using some sort of control panel in Windows to change that to the letter it was asking. Then, after downloading the sounds from the Silverian family, those sounds from sweetwater. I manged to transfer the first image to the flash card via EMXP. And then to play it back on the Emax. I have to mention the flash card and the adapter ar hanging from the Emax II, I haven't put all together inside yet so the guts are visible. I was very happey to be able to read the files, the first drum files were close to crap, a bunch of samples with a glitch at the end. But there is this file called "atmospheres".... Oh My God! I have a Korg wavestation AD, a Roland JD 800 among other samples but this is out of this world... The sounds of this machine is not normal. This was a machine made in the far future transported to the past. Just amazing. Jaw dropping. Now is where the fun begins...
