Emax II realtime SysEx , MIDI control change / footswitch

Emax II realtime SysEx , MIDI control change / footswitch

2001-09-21 by smop@...

Ive been wondering about controlling the Emax II functions, such as
start sample record and stop sample record, and the realtime and
dynamic processing controls in realtime using a SysEx [System
Exclusive] fader/knob controller like the Peavey PC1600 and MIDI
footcontroller ..
(Can all the front panel buttons/commands can be triggered through
MIDI or at least SysEx ? Id like to be able to control some of them
(such as start and stop sampling) with a MIDI pedalboard..
I found SysEx info for Emax1 online but am not sure if it would work
exactly the same for the Emax II , I dont quite understand it either..

I can't say I understand it either, but the SYSEX manual I have says Emax and Emax II
Sysex and RS422 manual. I tried a long time ago to get Cakewalk to control the Emax II
via it's Studioware Panels, but I never got it to work.
