cymbals phasing

2005-11-26 by lordgiffnock

Hi, I recently purchased an emax 2.
I've been sampling some of my drum machines but I'm noticing a bad
phasing sound from the longer cymbals eg. ride and crash .
The drums and toms are reproduced perfectly ,just the cymbals.
Any ideas?

Nathan-

Check what sampling rate you are using. It might be set too low to reproduce
the high's of the cymbals....aliasing occurs which may be the phasiing sound
you describe. The frequency response of the sample will be about half the
sample rate.

Hope this helps!

cheers,
michael
