Ok, I can't seem to get SDS to work between soundForge and my EMAX. I've
tried just about every different setting change I can think of. Closest I
can get to having it work (when I don't get "Aborted, Bad ACK Packet #0000
8") is that the sample appears to get copied over (Forge to EMAX), but then I
can't play it on the EMAX aftwerward. Am I missing something here? The
manual doesn't have much info in the part that tells you about doing Dumps.

I tried sending SDS to my EIIIxs in Sample Management mode and that worked
fine.... I guess I'm getting sorta confused between the EIII and Emax II
somehow.

THanks,

PF

May I suggest reading the MIDI SDS section of the FAQ on my
website http://www.silveriafamily.com It's a good place to start. I'll be
gone for the rest of today so I can answer any questions you have
tomorrow.

Northstar CD ROMS

2000-12-10 by Steve Adam

Has anybody any experience of the 3 Northstar CD ROMs for the Emax? I'm
thinking of expanding my library - I have a 4MB machine and I already have
most of the E-mu and Greytsounds library (the 4MB stuff anyway) but would
like some more. I'd be interested in anyone's opinion as to the quality of
the Northstar stuff before I take the plunge!

Incidentally, anyone else noticed that a lot of the sections from the
Emulator Archive have been down for a while?

Hi

I have all three as well as Greytsounds and Emu and I feel they are the best
of the lot.

Hi,
The Emulator Archive has suffered from a small number of problems recently, includuing a virus attack on the server and some broken links. We are restoring full service as fast as we can but if any one has any problems, please email us at webmaster@.... We really do need to know where the problems are. Our Xmas present for Emax users will be the Operations Manual as a PDF download.....
Regards

Please read the new SDS section of my website. IT specifically tells
how to set-up an Emax II to work with Sound Forge.
