I wouldn't recommend you use a flash any larger than 256MB....
Emax only formats to 20MB anyways....
The drives don't need to be external.
If you have the original HD in place, then the chain needs to be correct

Emax >>>> drive >>>> drive >>> termination

The Stock HD by default has a terminator on it, so if you have term on both drives that would be a problem.

upgrade my Emax to a Plus or something? I assuming that this might
have something to do with the original Connor HD being only 20mb's
perhaps?
