Subject: [emax] Re: Using a CF-CARD from SCSIforSamplers with the Emax
The IDE/SCSI board in my CF CARD is currently the R-IDSC-E/R revision 1.28; first it was equipped with the version 1.30.9 but that one didn't work with any of the old Emu (up to IIIX) and Ensoniq (all) samplers. So then I received the "good" board - and indeed it's a better one but still the Emax-I and Ensoniq EPS Classic are not supported.
As far as I understand my CF CARD unit has now the "native" IDE/SCSI board which has always been in the CF CARD in the past, or am I wrong ?
Are you talking about an even older board ?
I also have the Acard AEC7720U board but its 40 pin IDE female connector doesn't accept all 40 male pins of the CF card board in the unit; one hole is factory-closed on the 7720. Could I just remove the corresponding pin from the CF card board or is this pin important for use with non-Acard boards ?
