Emax

Hi 

I was wondering if anyone from the group is using a CF-CARD drive from SCSIforSamplers with his/her Emax-I ?

I have an external CF-CARD drive here which I recently ordered and it doesn't work with the Emax-I, although compatibility with Emax SE/HD is mentioned on the website of SCSIforSamplers. 

By the way: I ordered this drive specifically for my Ensoniq EPS, not for my Emax, but since it doesn't work with the EPS either, I'm trying to find out now on which samplers it would work. For now it's proven to be compatible with the Emax-II, the Emulator-III and the Emulator-IIIX.

While I can (and will) use Ted Summer's internal CF drive in my Emax-I as the primary solution, I'm still wondering why the CF-CARD drive is not working.
It formats the CF card, it even saves banks to the CF card, but it can't read these banks back. Very strange !
I always get a "Hard Disk Error" on both of my Emax samplers when loading banks from the CD CARD drive. Banks I just saved with the very same drive :) The CF cards that I'm using work fine with Ted's drive by the way.

So perhaps there may be an issue with the class or type of CF card in combination with that specific SCSIForSamplers drive.
If anyone is using the CF CARD drive succesfully with the Emax-I, I'd like to hear from you !!
