Sorry about the duplicate message. I accidentally hit enter a moment ago. I am having a problem that I hope someone might be able to help me with because I don't know very much at all about Macs. I am trying to send and receive samples from my Emax II (& Emax I) via Alchemy which is installed on a G3 running os 8.6 and my midi interface is a Sonus Macface (which I can't find information on). Basically, I have done this before, but perhaps not with the same computer and interface, but I was able to pull samples from the Emax II with Alchemy and save them so I can use them in Turbosynth and have the loop points and crossfade looping of the Emax II. Before I was running a IIsi and my interface was a very simple, 1 in, 1 out, 1 data/mac port. Now I think I did this on my G3, but I had to get another midi interface and I found a Sonus Macface. Now when I connect the in and out of the emax to the in and out of the interface and try to send and receive samples (with the channels lined up properly), I get an error saying that the keyboard map can not be found. I'm not sure if it has to do with the interface, but it is more complicated than the other. It has 2 ins (1 for printer, 1 for modem), 4 outs (2 for each in) and also both an in and out for the data/mac connections. This confuses me, because I thought these connections were bidirectional (at least I think it was when I used the other one). I can't find a manual so maybe my problem is that I am not setting it up right, but again, I don't know much about Macs so I may not have the midi driver set up correctly. I can't find a menu or control panel for the midi driver. I'm hoping that maybe someone here can offer up a suggestion, because I've kind of run out of things to try. Thanks, Chase
