Emax

Hi all,

My Emax II is now working very well. I've connected  up all of the outputs 
to my soundcard (it has 18 inputs) and I am now actually attempting to write 
some music with it. Playing it multi-timbrally with different effects on 
each output, it's amazing how it comes to life. It sounds fantastic.

A couple of questions:

 - Is there any way that the four stereo outputs can act as 8 mono outputs, 
or a mixture of stereo and mono?

- The sampling input has surprised me a couple of times by being activated 
even when the sampling module is not. Is it never turned off?

- How hot is the Emax II supposed to get above the power supply? Mine won't 
exactly burn my hand, but it is certainly quite warm.
