Thanks everyone for replying to my mail. Since I last wrote I have tested the floppy and it does work - I was able to create a bootable OS disk. I have a big pile of diskettes left over from old computers but most of them are HD, and the Emax doesn't seem to like them even if you format them as DD in the emax. Is this right? My only real worry is the longevity of the hard disk, which I would like to back up as soon as possible. The cheapest option seems to be a Zip drive, which are available on eBay for next to nothing. I never had one of these even when they were new. Are they reliable? Another option would be to put together an external hard disk. I found what appears to be the right kind of enclosure, but very small 50-pin SCSI disks seem to be pretty thin on the ground, even on eBay. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find one? Thanks, D.
