Anyway to monitor the sound of the input when sampling on the Emax I?

I know that you can view the input level using the meter, but is there anyway to actually monitor the sound of the input?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
