Re: Need SE upgrade disc image for EMXP

2008-12-07 by esynthesist

Rich,

EMXP only allows sound bank and operating system files, not special
purpose disk images from Emu.
No problem however: the EmaxSEUpgrade.zip file in the files section can
be copied to a disk with the OmniFlop software itself.

Make sure you have a blank Emax formatted floppy disk (either formatted
by the Emax or by OmniFlop). Then start the OmniFlop wizard and
select "write disk", unflag the "automatic detect" and select the
80*2*10*512 Emax standard disklayout from the list. (you have to do the
same thing if you have to format the disk first). Select the unzipped
SE upgrade disk image as a source file and start the write process.

If this is the very first time you're using Emax disks with OmniFlop,
the software will ask you to get a free license first. But this takes
only a few seconds...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
