OK. If I was able to connect the clock of the Emax with the RS422 port I would have done so from the very beginning of course :-) But that's the whole problem: I haven't found a new PC RS422 port yet which is capable of being externally clocked. Also the specs provided on many vendor's websites are pretty vague. Perhaps some high end RS422 automation ports can be clocked, but these devices tend to be quite expensive (and still seem not to have this feature; the higher price is due to additional protection, better hardcases, breakout boxes, multiple ports, etc). So: if anyone knows where to buy an affordable RS422 port (USB or PC Card/Express Card) which is externally clockable, I love to hear it !! (Note: as far as I know the EII has the same serial communication setup as the Emax.
