Emax

The Emax can receive sample dumps via MIDI SDS according to the Emax OS v3.0 MIDI spec. 
However, note that the first and last sample of the data should be padded with zeros. The Emax 
also expects 12 bit linear samples, which it presumably converts into 8 bit compressed form to 
store in memory. I am not sure what it would do with 16 sample data. There are also some issues 
to do with handshaking, sampling rates, sample placement and loops etc. 

It looks like the fast sample dump via RS422 uses a slightly modified form of the SDS dump that 
allows more compact packing of the 12 bit samples and thus even faster transfer.
