Re: [emax] just asking

Sure, this could be fun!

Model 1000 (original purchase, 1988); S/N: 39110687
Model 1020 (Ebay, 2006); S/N: 9410487

I bought the original Emax keyboard (Model 1000) in 1988 from
Thoroughbred Music in Tampa, FL. I added SCSI using the SCSI retrofit
kit from E-Mu in 1991 or so. For a long time I had a Miniscribe 8425S
(the original drive Emu used in the Emax HD) in my keyboard. I had to
add a second power supply for the hard drive.

I bought the Emax Rack (1020) for next to nothing on Ebay in 2006 and
swapped the analog/digital boards between the keyboard and racks (to
have a SCSI Emax rack). I currently have an internal ZIP drive in the
Emax Rack.
