Can't you just boot _any_ computer to _any_ version of DOS if you tell it to boot from the floppy drive, and have the DOS files on there? I guess then the problem is finding the old ver. of DOS for your floppy. \It _is_ called "Disk Operating System".... :) But in that case, yes, you can use a computer that has XP on it, just don't boot it from your hard drive. Maybe if you know someone who has '98 on their system, you can have them create a bootable DOS disk for you.... emax@yahoogroups.com wrote: > ________________________________________________________________________ > ________________________________________________________________________ > > Message: 4 > Date: Sat, 29 Jan 2005 18:59:39 -0500 > From: "elmacaco" <elmacaco@...> > Subject: Re: Loading Operating system Please Help!!!!! > > you need an older version of DOS, I use an old laptop running 98 in dos mode. > > I got the same errors when I tried emx on my xp machine. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: jkalos2003 > To: emax@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Saturday, January 29, 2005 6:35 PM > Subject: [emax] Loading Operating system Please Help!!!!! > > > > Hi, > > Can someone tell me if it is posible to fomat a floopy disk and load > the operating sytem on it using a pc and windows xp.
