Thanks for your answers, John...

However, one quick question:

How powerful is/was the original Emax power supplys?

since mine were fried, i managed to fit two 80W supplys i bought 12 years ago 
and never used into the each of my emaxes, and it seems to have worked just 
fine since then, and since it has basically the same specifications (a few 
extra coords that i dont use, but othwerwise same Voltage and Ampere on the 
outputs)..

hopefully, this 80W should be more than sufficient to run a zipdrive on, 
escpeicllay when i remove both floppy and harddrive...
