Hi,
Your Emax II is failing to find the floppy drive.
This could be a loose cable, or a faulty drive. It could also be a fault in the disk controller electronics, but the first two are more likely.
You could also try different boot diskettes, but I suspect the drive is faulty.
Check the diskette power and interface cabling are all okay internally. Look to see if the LED on the floppy comes on or the drive makes any clicking noises (signs that it is alive).Replacements diskette drives can be bought from E-mu but they are expensive ($150). Alternativley look for a DS/DD drive and ensure the id is set to zero (they usually come set to 1).

My emax II is buggered again, when i switch it on the preset definition LED
and the one below come on, the LCD says that it is loading the software but
nothing happens and the thing refuses to work, any ideas as to what the
problem is and possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.
