Emax

What OS are you using? 

What you want to change is Master : (9)Special : (2)MIDI Master on an Emax II. It 
somewhere like that on the Emax as well. It will set the global channel on the Emax, 
there is no reason to set the Preset PolyMode I'm not even sure why that was put in the 
OS unless early versions didn't have a MIDI Master.
