Ahhh that would be the fabled Blue SCSI port found on the late model
Emax SE. If memory serves me correctly I read that these were the
last of the Emax series built either right before the Emax II went in to
production. They have a blue SCSI port in the back and an internal
SCSI port neither of which shipped operational. It was a sign of things
to come. I think E-mu origianl though of launching a Super Emax,
which eventually became the Emax II. Basically what they are is a 12
bit early model Emax II. If you remember your Emax history the first
Emax II model to go to market was actually nothing more than a 16 bit
Emax SE. That's to say they were Mono and only had 512k of memory
exactly like the Emax SE, soon after they offered the stereo upgrade
and memory upgrades and HD upgrades. I believe I discuss this in my
Emax II FAQ.
Those are very rare so I don't even think of those when I discuss the
Emax. Glad we got that all cleared up.
