Has anyone had any experience with the displays for emax from Muzikelektronik on Ebay?
Here's what the copy says:
"E-mu Emax oled display, will fit a rack or keyboard version. this
display is identical in size to the standard lcd, the dimensions are
exactly the same incl the thickness ! to install you simply remove the
existing one and replace with the oled. no modifications are required to
mount the display. this type is the correct pin layout for the emax,
there is no rewiring or reconfiguring required, these are the problems
that occur when someone attempts to install the wrong type of display !
I will supply the new oled with the pins already attached as
pictured, simply remove the old lcd and fit the new oled. NO soldering
is required to the display. Afterwards the old voltage inverter
(pictured) should be removed + discarded completely. This is what whines
and buzzes driving people bananas. The oled doesn't need a backlight so
the old inverter should be removed. The quality of this oled is the
same as the other ones i have, its fast and responsive, characters
change instantly when editing with no ghosting, contrast is superb,
background is inky black, it looks fantastic."
Does it just plug in or will there be much soldering involved?
