Emax

You say a PC with a built in floppy.
Is it a laptop?  (the floppy could be USB then, which I don’t think would work….

Other possibilities: head alignment is not correct.
Suggestion: 
Format floppy in Emax with original OS.
Verify the floppy boots the Emax
take the Emax floppy drive OUT of Emax.
Hook it to PC floppy cable and power. 
Now go into EMXP and write the OS image to the EMAX drive ( in this way assuring head alignment of the written disk is the same).

Once you have 1 good floppy…you can make other floppies, see if the HD is seen, etc.

 Downloaded and installed Emxp and omniflop drivers.

  I can "format" a floppy and install the OS but then the Emax 1 will start to read it, get about 10 secs in, and then the screen just goes blank. If I take that same disk out and put it back into Emxp, it says the disk is unformatted and cant be read.

 If I format a disk using the Emax, Emxp will not read it...

  not sure what to try next. This is on a windows XP machine with a built in floppy.  Is there a secret to getting Emxp up and running properly for the Emax1? I just want to burn a new os so I can see if the HD is working...
