Being a total Linux novice, I am hitting several walls w/ live boot CD's either not properly booting or not loading SCSI drivers. Same for Free BSD. Doing my homework on those in hopes of ultimately performing a clone, as well as formatting a drive with Apple Partition Map. Once I get over the hump I'll let you know.

Also pulled the trigger on a 7720 and ide cf reader/writer which should arrive next week.
