there are some bad copies of the plus os which dont add the os after format

it does format but there is no os when seen in emxp you then have to put a os image on it

but its much easier just to create a blank emax image and then add the os then write that to the hd cf card

thats what i always do it only takes seconds to format and write os to disk on the cf card it is very fast

i think that your copy of the plus os is the faulty one and why its not doing it properly

in the files section under my name jammie is a known good one as its the one i got from emulator archive from rob who gave me the full os disk images that worked

This was w/ version 2.11.3, as well as 3.00. Did earlier versions of EMXP allow other OS for HD images?

I considered making a backup image of my only remaining, fully working drive but I'm still a tad reluctant until I know if there's something I';m doing that's causing all these issues.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
