These rules sound great to me. The only additional thoughts I have are
that in the future, we might want to make the time 30 seconds minimum
and 1 minute maximum. But we should see how everyone does the
first time around before changing it. Also, if we're going to do this
every
month then perhaps we should designate a specific machine every month
rather than always letting people choose what they want. Again, we can
do
the above this month and then maybe designate a machine next month if
that's what everyone wants.

Regarding posting songs: I can remove the audio files in the the group's
website and create a special place there for this contest. Then I'll
remove
them (and create an archive, including contest results) the week before
the
next month's submissions are due. It will probably be easier than
keeping
a list of links and such; everyone can just post their audio/sysex
files in one
directory so we don't have to surf all over to find them. And if
they're only
30+ seconds, there *should* be enough room for them there.

And I hope nobody minds me removing the audio in there; I'm sure that
all
threads regarding any audio have run their course (the newest file is
six
months old), so it should be ok with everyone, I'd imagine. If not,
let me know.
