Well, unfortunately, it's hard to tell at this point, and I'm entirely sure
what to look for. If it was the former, it should have fit back on pretty
easily, I thought, and it didn't seem to. All I know is that the knob was
laying next to the hole on the machine, so I can't say for sure what
happened - the only thing I can think of was that when somehow some cables
pushed against it while I was doing something else, but I really don't know.

yeah - that's what I was afraid of. Well, it will give me a chance to get to
know my 309 a bit better...
