LFO for my dotcom

LFO for my dotcom

2011-04-10 by infraxpert

Hi,

I am looking for a nice LFO for my DOTCOM.
I am ready to assemble it myself if necessary.
Any suggestions?

If you want to save yourself some assembly, I would recommend the MegaOhm LFO Two: http://www.megaohmaudio.com/LFO.html

Two LFO circuits in a 1U package, continuously variable waveshape on the first LFO, and a neat reset feature that's good for tempo-syncing.

I agree with Chris, the MegaOhm LFO TWO is really nice (I have one :-)

Also check out Grove Audio's DUAL VC LOW FREQUENCY OSCILLATOR & VC AMPLIFIER

http://www.groveaudio.com/eminstruments/gmp782.aspx

It's about $55 more but it includes two integrated VCAs and seems like a
great module (I haven't tried it but I have Grove's PM Resonator and it is
an excellent well built module)

And Synthetic Sound Labs has a new quad LFO that seems quite nice!

http://www.steamsynth.com/m_QuadLFO.aspx

If you want to build yourself there are quite a few options I think!

Best of luck,

John L Rice

The SSL recommendation also reminds me that that Tap Tempo LFO http://www.steamsynth.com/m_TTLFO.aspx they offer is a really cool offering if you want a high degree of functional density at the expense of a little more front panel real estate. The multiplier feature and waveform CV are worth the price of admission.

Really nice suggestions.
I did not know MegaOhm and Grooveaudio.
I think the Gooveaudio is my kind of LFO.

Thanks for your help :0)
