Disklavier

Good afternoon, everyone.

I have checked on this with Yamaha Piano Service personnel who have  
communicated directly with the engineers in Japan. The reply is No.

Interestingly, the Disklavier Pro 2000 (a concept piano, about 6 of  
which were sold in the US) had a Windows computer underneath, and  
that computer communicated with the control unit via the To Host port  
(using a serial cable). The control unit did have a modified Mark  
IIXG operating system that accepted certain SysEx messages from the  
computer. However, it was not a comprehensive set of commands and  
those commands do not work in any other control unit.
