i have no idea about using the built in controller for text but there are programs for creating the CD+G Karaoke format which is used on stand alone players and I believe can be played on a PC. you could use Mid2PianoCD to make the audio encoded MIDI to put on the appropriate channel and send this to the DKV. using MIDI would be much easier if your piano supports MIDI input. i wrote a program for adding lyrics to MIDI files that is easier to use than most.
