I have had this monitor for 2 1/2 years. When I was using it on my old system with spyder2express I had amazing results and almost 100% accuracy with prints versus monitor.

Yes, at 110 candela, you could get excellent print to display matching, though it sounds like your ambient light is rather high, since it is suggesting 180.

According to the specs on my monitor it is able to be at 300 candelas.

Just not sure how to go about it. LG support is not very helpful.

I never had to worry about this while using the express versus the pro where I have to make adjustments instead of the software doing it.

You can to the exact same thing with Pro, by turning the ambient light functions off, and setting the target luminance to native. Results will continue to be as good as before. You will just be aware, now, that your display is quite time, so your room lighting should be dim as well, and that you may have to replace your display sooner than you would like, if it continues to get dimmer.

I am wondering if I need to make adjustments to brightness using my catalyst control center?

Deactivating the video card control center entirely is usually the best solution. They conflict with color management far more often than they assist with it.
