Yes, I find that most blinds in stores are intentionally translucent, without an option for a version with metal foil in them to render them both heat reflective, and blackout. Too bad that's not more common, as it is what I want in my bedroom, as well as my studio.  Aluminum spray paint on the back does the trick, but is not as attractive from outdoors as fabric over a metal foil or Mylar layer. I have been spoiled by the wonderful metal exterior roll-down blinds so common in Europe, which allow for sleeping late, as well as total control of room luminance. I can even envision a "smart building" function where the motor controlled roller blinds in a European office would be connected to a Spyder, to adjust them automatically to maintain consistent brightness in an office.

Yes, the Help does not emphasize this, but once you have determined the proper settings for your situation, you can stop using the ambient light wizard and the Studio Match wizard, as their functions have been served, and they are no longer needed.
