I'd like a reading of ambient light levels from the status bar icon that read in candelas as in the S3E application rather than high, medium, low, etc. It would help in resetting the room light.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
