To see about longer ruler functions, I put a 24" steel rule on top of the ruler built into LensCal, and held it in place with a couple of rubber bands. Not elegant, but it served the purpose. But I was surprised to see how much less effective the finely ruled lines on the steel rule were at detecting the focal zone than the extra fine high contrast lines printed on the LensCal rule. So I wouldn't actually trade the extra fine, extra sharp high contrast printing for some other type of solution.If you have a publication or website that you are assigned to review it for, contact me off list with that information.
